At Capers, we’re fortunate to be partners with an incredible array of New England’s most gorgeous event venues. Though we could never choose a favorite, here’s a glimpse of five fabulous venues we’ve had the pleasure of working with recently.
SoWa Power Station Boston, MA Looking for an industrial-chic, cosmopolitan, blank canvas for your special event? Look to the recently renovated SoWa Power Station in Boston’s South End, and let your creative juices flow as you transform its historic-yet-edgy, soaring brick-and-steel-beamed interior into whatever vibe or dreamscape your heart desires.
The Garden at Elm Bank Wellesley, MA
Situated on 36 rambling acres adjacent to the Charles River, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Garden at Elm Bank features a dozen separate gardens abloom in a kaleidoscope of colors during warmer months. When growing season is over (and even when in its full glory), head indoors and choose to host in one of their (gorgeous) buildings or an individual room—it all depends on the size of your event. There are so many reasons this gem is listed on the National Register of Historic Places—and so many reasons for you to check it out.
9OFS Boston, MA
A sprawling emerald lawn. A glamorous reflecting pool. A lush garden. In the heart of downtown Boston’s Financial District. 9OFS boasts all this on an impossibly spacious rooftop, spectacularly perched nine stories above street level—with divine indoor space to boot, and sparkling city views by night (particularly plentiful in winter). Need we say more?
deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum Lincoln, MA That water view. Those larger-than-life contemporary sculptures. An endless lawn. Event options that include exclusive museum gallery access, hosting in a gallery itself, an intimate indoor library, or heading back outdoors to celebrate on the Roof Deck, in the Sculpture Terrace, or the Pondside Terrace… With so many options to choose from at The Trustees of Reservations’ deCordova venue, you can’t go wrong.
Milton, MA
To set foot on the Eustis Estate’s 80 acres—or inside its 18,600 square-foot mansion—is to time-travel to the late 19th century. Architectural history buffs marvel at its intricate details—well-preserved since its 1878 design and build. Situated at the foot of the Blue Hills, the estate’s expansive property boasts acres of woodlands, manicured lawns, an orchard, a pond, and even its own electricity tower—The Powerhouse—ingeniously devised by its owner in 1902, before electricity was widely available. For a lavish manor event that is truly a slice of Historic New England, be sure to visit the Eustis Estate.
How lucky are we to live and work in greater Boston, with these five uniquely fabulous venues essentially in our backyard? And even luckier still to have earned the honor of their recommendation as a preferred caterer. We hope you’ll take the time to explore these magical spaces for your next event!
