Catering Sales Manager
Capers Catering is seeking a Full-Time Catering Sales Manager to begin ASAP.
The ideal candidate is a personable, highly professional, organized, detail-oriented, hard-working, service-oriented team player with a positive attitude, excellent verbal and written communication, proficient office computer skills, creative problem-solving skills, dedication to excellence in all tasks, grace under pressure, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and at least 2 years' successful experience in a planning role within the world of events (catering preferred).
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
This client-facing role sets the Catering Sales Manager in close contact with clients and potential clients from pre-planning through post-event. Core responsibilities include:

Solicit and secure business via sales calls, networking, incoming inquiries, and social media.

Negotiate prices and help clients select their menu.

Generate contracts, ensure client signature, ensure special requests are fulfilled.

Maintain top-quality service by establishing and upholding organization standards.

Stay abreast of industry trends, marketplace activities, and competitors.

Attend networking events/groups, representing Capers Catering.

Perform other duties as required and assigned.
COMMITMENT
Due to the nature of events, working hours vary based on client needs. The Catering Sales Manager must therefore be available to work M-F during typical business hours, as well as nights and weekends—including physical presence onsite at events—whenever the job dictates. Peak event season runs from May through October—expect to be ultra-busy during this timeframe. Working remotely is an option at times.
